Phorographer with the blue-footed booby, Sula nebouxii, Galapagos Islands, Ecuador, Mauro Parmesani

Passionate journalist and photographer with a lifelong love for travel, I have had the privilege of exploring every continent, capturing breathtaking moments along the way. With a professional photography career that began in 1980, I have specialized in underwater shooting and dedicated myself to full-time travel reportage.

My focus lies in delving into themes such as cultures, nature, the environment, and the sea. Over the years, I have collaborated with leading Italian tourism magazines and worked as an exclusive correspondent for renowned publications such as Traveler (Condé Nast), James Magazine and Touring Club Italiano.

Additionally, I have served as an image and lifestyle consultant for several Italian Tour Operators. Through my various books and travel guides, including "Mauritius: the tropic of harmony," "Maldives: a changing country," "Guide to the Maldives," "The Red Sea," and "Guide to the Parks of Southern Africa," I have shared my expertise and experiences with a broader audience.

I am particularly proud of my collection "Africa seen from the Sky," which showcases the stunning landscapes of the continent. Recently, I documented the unique "Milan Lockdown" during the initial months of the Covid pandemic, capturing the city's resilience in trying times.
